A peek at my new project, entitled ‘PHOENIX’ 🐦‍🔥

This upcoming series of self-portraits observes a person rising from the darkness after a season of fire and smoke, covered in the ashes of a past life.

Someone that still looks familiar to themselves and to others, but is altogether different. In the darkness, they are simply covered in the dirt and dust of their old skin. But in searching beyond their shadow, they begin to glisten and gleam, finding their way through to what comes next.

With just themselves to hold and just themselves to remind them that they are worth the universe in light and love, they begin the pursuit of realisation that it’s okay to learn to breathe on their own.

While the majority of the project will be presented in black and white, I wanted to share the magic of this image in full colour 🔮
